what do i need to do to make it work?

  1. navigate to your cs2 folder (steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo) and open the steam.inf file
  2. copy the “ClientVersion” value
  3. navigate to your cs:go folder (steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo) and open steam.inf file
  4. replace “ClientVersion” by the perviously copied value
